15 August 2013 : Young Academics Elections 2013

The online election of AESOP Young Academics Network Coordination Team is open.

Coordination Team members take on responsibilities for different tasks including the management of website contents, communication with YA members, event organizations, elections, publications, etc. Moreover, CT members are expected to meet in order to suggest new activities or to redefine existing ones. YA are looking for new people to join the enthusiastic team to ensure the YA network continues to grow and provide new exciting opportunities for all of us.

We strongly encourage members of YA to both stand for election and vote.

The election process will take place since 1st October 2013 till 15th October 2013.

22 July 2013 : New AESOP Vice President

AESOP Council of Represntatives elected Francesco Lo Piccolo, University of Palermo as Vice President.

Francesco Lo Piccolo will be acting as AESOP Vice President since July 2013 til July 2014 and then since July 2016 till July 2017. Since July 2014 till July 2016 Francesco Lo Piccolo will be representing AESOP as President.

22 July 2013 : Acknowledgment to University College Dublin

Association of European Schools of Planning would like to thank UNIVERSITY COLLEGE DUBLIN and express our gratitude for the organization of the AESOP-ACSP Congress (15th - 19th July 2013). 16th & 17th of January 2014, the 12th meeting of AESOP's thematic group on Complexity & Planning will be held in Manchester. The event is hosted by the Manchester School of Architecture and is aimed at exploring more closely the potentials and parallels between processes of Spatial Planning and Urbanism/Design. In particular, how the complexity sciences can create and enhance this discourse through an examination of processes of inevitable transformation. A keynote speech will be provided by prof. Micheal Weinstock.
