AESOP Heads of Schools Meeting is an annual forum for planning education. We are happy to welcome delegates from our member schools, whether they are heads of the schools or any key persons designated by the schools, to discuss main problems and challenges for planning education across Europe. We would be delighted if delegates from the schools which are not AESOP members yet joined us and shared their experience and knowledge.

Call for hosting AESOP Congress in 2015
The call for hosting the 29th AESOP Congress which will take place in 2015 is now open. We encourage all institutional AESOP Members to apply.
The deadline for the submission of the bids is 31st March 2013.

The new AESOP President has to be elected in July 2013.
Call for the position of AESOP President is open.
The mandatory period of the new President will start in July 2014 and will finish in July 2016. From July 2013 to July 2014 and from July 2016 to July 2017 the elected President will be representing AESOP as the Vice President.

The new AESOP Treasurer has to be elected in July 2013.
Call for the position of AESOP Treasurer is open.
The mandatory period of the new Treasurer will start in July 2013 and will finish in July 2017.

AESOP Council of Representatives has approved new Officials:
Professor Lia Maldonado Teles de Vasconcelos (University New Lisbon) is a new chair of the AESOP Excellence in Teaching Award Committee.
Professor Karina Pallagst (University of Kaiserlautern) is a new chair of the AESOP Best Published Paper Award Committee.

AESOP Council of Representatives has approved hosts for AESOP - ECTP-CEU - IFHP - ISOCARP European Urban Summer Schools.
The host for EUSS 2013 is San Pablo CEU University in Madrid
The host for EUSS 2014 is University of Tours.
European Urban Summer School is our joint project within the framework of Decade of Planning.

Call for AESOP auditors
AESOP is looking for candidates willing to serve as AESOP auditors. According to the AESOP Charter (Art. 27c) these persons will be responsible for monitoring and examine the AESOP annual financial statements. Audiors will be AESOP Officials (Art. 16d) and therefore have to be confirmed by the Council of Representatives. AESOP will need 2 auditors.
Application deadline: March 30th 2013
The auditors have to be academics from AESOP member institutions. Thess persons have to be fluent in English and also have to be familiar with the profile of the organization and its performance. We would appreciate cooperation skills and experience in running or supervising the financial matters of a NGO. Involvement in AESOP acitivities will be of additional advantage.
The procedure of election includes the selection of the candidates made by the Executive Committee and the confirmation by the Council of Representatives.
Interested individuals should apply by sending a CV and a motivation letter to the Secretary General (email: secretariat@aesop-plannning.eu).
