AESOP2012 Silver Jubilee Congress: Last 10 Days for Abstract Submission

1 January 2012 : AESOP Silver Jubilee Year has just started!

In 2012, the Association of European Schools of Planning will be 25 years old.
We wish to use this opportunity to strengthen the cooperation between European and worldwide planning organisations. We wish to promote planning as a full-fledged discipline of knowledge, research, education and practice. We also wish to discuss the current situation in planning and delineate future steps to be taken.
In 2012, we will be honoured to invite our friends and partners to numerous meetings and events connected to our Silver Jubilee.
We are also proud to be able to launch together with the International Federation for Housing and Planning the LECTURE SERIES, designed as a highlight of both the Silver Jubilee of AESOP (2012) and the Centenary of IFHP (2013).
WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL ON OUR
26TH ANNUAL CONGRESS IN ANKARA IN JULY 2012.

Please consult our events AGENDA (until the new academic year 2012/2013).

26 December 2011 : AESOP-IFHP LECTURE SERIES

From Cities of To-morrow to a Tomorrow for Cities
The Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP) and the International Federation for Housing and Planning (IFHP) have launched a joint activity within the framework of the Decade of Planning: a series of lectures in 2012-2013 by well-known planners and other ‘urban thinkers’, both academics and practitioners. The idea is to attract not only the planning community but also a wider audience of politicians, community leaders and organizations, business and the media to promote planning as a discipline that can contribute to the quality of life, help find new tools of governance of the urban structures and function as an effective mediator between the many stakeholders.
