I am currently Director Planning Operations Coordination with the New South Wales (NSW) State Department of Planning and Infrastructure. I am commencing a PhD with the broad theme of "whole-of-government approaches to land use planning" but with a particular emphasis on the new planning system currently being developed in NSW. Comparisons with other jurisdictions in Australia and over seas will be made and evaluated. A new approach to State planning methodology and legislation, as it relates to and interacts with local plans, will be promulgated.
